Decision Management Systems

This course examines the process of decision-making in large organizations and the technologies that can be used to enhance data-driven decision making. The course focuses on three types of analytic: descriptive, predictive and prescriptive. The course introduces the Decision Support Systems (DSS) and Business Intelligence (BI) and covers the foundations of decision-making and decision support. Other topics include data warehousing, location intelligence, mobile computing, cloud-based analytics, privacy/ethical considerations in analytics, and big analytics.
